Thanks to MAGNET.

The Marketing and Advertising Global Network (MAGNET) hosted an amazing creative conference for its member agencies called Chicago Creative Fire on June 16 at the Hilton O'Hare. I was one of several presenters speaking about everything from emerging media, mobile marketing, Google Gadgets and a host of engaging and often inpirational topics.

I presented "(r)evolutionary marketing: Marketing Meets the Science of the Meme" on behalf of my employer, GodwinGroup, and was very pleased with its reception. This was the first time I had presented to a group composed strictly of creative folks, and the feedback I received afterward should prove extremely useful to me in future presentations.

The presentation continues to evolve, becoming more and more relavent to the marketing biz, and I am eternally grateful – not only to the MAGNET group, but every group who has allowed me to share this increasingly relevant and thought-provoking topic.

Memetics is a scientific theory still in its infancy, and I am pleased to be able to share it with so many who might find it useful as media converge and the advertising business continues to grow and change. So please contact me if your Ad Club or professional group has yet to be exposed to this powerful theory concerning the evolution of culture.

Special thanks to MAGNET's Cheri Gmiter and John Arends of Arends Integrated Communications for putting together a true tour de force of forward-thinking programs and discussions – and for allowing me to contribute.
